Well, where do I start? This wedding was just a photographer's dream from start to finish. When I had a catch up with Amber & Dan around 1 month before the wedding, I was in the UK and Amber and Dan were still in Beijing. At the time of the call we were having a very rare sunny day and we joked about the typical British weather making an appearance on their day. We were all filled with optimism that the sun would stick around and grace us on the day of the wedding.

Fast forward to the week of the wedding, as everyone does, we were checking the weather frequently and unfortunately it had forecast rain of course! On the morning of the wedding we we're slightly disheartened but positive, although It had rained all morning the vibes were high and the bridal party was incredible! We had time to capture beautiful bridal portraits and capture the moments as they unfolded. As Amber was looking out of her window at Prestwold watching as her family & friends arrived, the sun glistened through the window and decided to make an appearance! This meant their outdoor wedding ceremony could go ahead and it was a dream.

The preparations - Bride

Ceremony...

The spirits in the room were already incredible but the sun just added that little extra something to the day and we were ready to go! We headed downstairs for the ceremony where there was a gorgeous floral arch made by Hiden Design framing the end of the aisle where Dan was waiting for Amber. Along with beautiful music playing from their live harpist.

Welcome Drinks...

After the ceremony there were welcome drinks in the glorious sunshine, where friends and family had gathered to greet each other. With people travelling from New York and landing the day before the wedding, Australia, Beijing, America. It was just a true declaration of love for the couple and you could just sense the happiness from all around.

Couples Session...

During the welcome drinks Amber, Dan and I headed off for their couples session. We had free range of the incredible grounds at Prestwold Hall and it was perfect! We used the main floral areas in the garden but then headed to the horse statue and stone wall to get some editorial shots too.

Reception...

The table names were places they have visited that are close to their hearts, along with their favours being boxes with raffle tickets for an after wedding breakfast raffle. All things that made their day unique. A beautiful pink and blue colour scheme flowed throughout the main ballroom.

Party...

Heading into the night, Amber and Dan had requested some flash images that they had seen in my portfolio. So after a quick outfit change for them both we snuck to the bar for them to have their personalised drinks and a quick photoshoot before we headed into the library for their first dance as Bride and Groom.

As the night went on, it was just fun and relaxed vibes all round. With lots of guests changing into their second outfits too, everybody was ready to dance to the live band and that's exactly what they did!

A truly beautiful day, with their friends and family and each of their personalities shining through and through. The epitome of love!
